We prefer that you register or transfer your domain to be parked with Godaddy.com. It is fully compatible with our servers and among the easiest domain companies to work with.
Below you will find instructions on how to setup and point your domain to our servers.
First thing you will want to do is login to your Godaddy account on their site.
You will then place your mouse over the “Domains” dropdown button on the left side of the top header.
Under the Management & Renewals category, click on the “My Domains” link
Once in the Domain panel, you will see a list of all the domains associated with your account. You will want to click on the domain that will be used for your printing website.
You will then be taken to the Domain Details page for the domain we will be using for your new site.
In the Upper middle section, under “Total DNS” you will see the current settings for this domain. These are the values that need to be changed. So go ahead and click on the hyperlink Total DNS Control and MX Records.
Now you should be in the Total DNS Control Panel. Here is where the settings for your DNS are able to be changed to the correct values, and properly point your domain to our servers.
First thing to do is delete all of your current settings by clicking the “X” box on the far right side. You will need to delete the A (Host), CNAMES (Aliases), and MX (Mail Exchange) records completely. Don’t worry about messing anything up, all the Godaddy settings can be restored to the original values should you make some kind of mistake.
Now that we have deleted all the old settings, we can begin to add the new ones to use. You will make these new values by clicking the “Add New (A,CNAME,MX) Record”
Click to add a new A (Host) and a box will then pop up for you to input settings. This is where you will input our servers IP address. These are the settings that you will need to input for the A Record.
Next we will add the CNAMES. There will be 3 of these; Mail, WWW, and FTP. They will all point to the same Host Name. It will be the Alias name that changes. Click the Add a CNAME button and create these 3 Aliases.
The last value we need to change is the MX (Mail Exchange) record. We will do the same thing here, click on the Add New MX button. And we will put in these settings.
Your domain should successfully be pointed to our servers and ready for us to build your new online printing website. You can verify settings by matching your Total DNS control panel should look like this.
If everything worked out correctly, you should see our “Printing Fulfillment” page when you go to your domain in your internet browser. Here is an example:
When you are deleting and adding new settings, they might say “pending removal” or “pending setup” this is normal, DNS settings take a few minutes to correct themselves with new settings.
If you have made all the correct settings, and your Total DNS Control Panel looks like the correct image above, but do not see the “Printing Fulfillment” page. Note that it may take a while to populate over the internet. If after 24 hours there is no change, you can request help by contacting us.
